Author Topic: 2-Way Radio  (Read 2173 times)

A simple contraption, used for RP(G) purposes. This linked radio allows 1 user to send a message to the other target using a linked radio, and for that target to receive the message. The target also has the power to send a message back to him. You probably won't have any use for this if you're not hosting an RPG, but if you're using a mod like this, or perhaps this; then I would advise you take this mod if it involved any technology.

Feel free to rate %/10, I included an instruction manual with the save.

whoa
that sounds and looks kickass
could you make a showcase video for it?

Even with those mods these are pretty neat.

How does the message sending determine a receiver? Can multiple people receive a message?

would you mind posting the events?
I can't very well load the save right now :I

also, I want to mention this:

I'm not saying you're a copycat though, I want to see your events because I want to see what you came up with yourself
like, your different way of doing things

is this your Comblock app?
even so it's brilliant.

No I done this out of boredom. But he can add it in to the gallery in his topic if he wishes.

It has no purpose out of local-chat servers as you said, but it's still very good :D

how about those events, OP

I'm pretty sure that's the purpose of it
the only other reason to make it is for proof of concept

I know it is, I was just stating the obvious.

Am I the only one getting the notepad thingy of the save file?

Anyways, you can see the events in the save file:

I see radio1, radio2, some sort of print brick for making a sound. I accidentally cut off the top part (there is an extra line saying the events below belong to a 1x1 print brick, similar to the line below the first "+-EVENT 3" line).

I am also having trouble downloading and getting this into my saves folder. It's not showing up in my saves when I go into Blockland.

The page loads as a text file, yes.

Just:

- Copy it into Notepad
- Save as .bls
- Move the saved file into Documents\Blockland\Saves\Slate
- ???
- Yay

Crap, I forgot step two. Ok, thanks.

Sure Conan, I can work on it. 3-way Radio if you'd like.

Wat

I was asking you how it works. How does one receive a message? And does the message stay there or automatically clears after one use?

Also can you dupe these around and still have it work w/o changing variable names?
