GTA IV not working properly?

I don't really know how or why this is happening

I think it might be an issue with the graphics card but I'm not sure

It looks like you spawned inside the map lol.

After restarting the game the same thing happened :(

it's at the beginning part, where you finally get in the hotel room and you go down the steps. i don't know why but it's basically everything is invisible except for outlines of objects.

We both have the same problem, then.

I got it fixed by getting a new video card

i can fix it by messing with graphics, just do auto configure, then make everything to lowest then set screen size to max

it works for me
