IF BADSPOT DIES WHO WILL MAKE COMICS OF PONDERING WOMEN IN LINGIRIE
I WILL CONTINUE HIS LEGACY.

I made a topic about this years ago.

Oh god lol

There would be no cracking needed one person would share their key and everyone would have the game and the master servers would go down so all people would play is over Hamachi/Other services like that.

This is of course if someone else didn't take it over. (Epiltities or someone else working on the game (I really don't know who the next in command is after Baddy))

Also these forums would be replaced pretty quickly I know I would pay for hosting and start hosting a forum almost right away.

Kompressor.

Heil Zookwu, Heil Furher Zookwu!

That wouldn't work, because everybody would have the same name, unless there was some way to get around that. Besides, who would do this? Would you like to be the person to give away a key to a game that you'll never get back? I certainly wouldn't.

Ephialtes can't magically get a full copy of the source. Unless Badspot has given a full editable copy of the game to him prior (which I highly doubt) I don't think that is a very realistic assumption.

Also these forums would be replaced pretty quickly I know I would pay for hosting and start hosting a forum almost right away.

Doesn't matter. Lots of people would do the same to try and fill the void, and it is highly likely that each person would join the forum where most of their friends had gone. It would tear the community into tiny fractions.

Many, many illegitimate forums would be setup, but its unlikely anybody would be able to re-create a forum as central as the one we have now.

What I've posted is actually highly plausible given the condition Badspot died suddenly and nobody had access to the source or servers.

Forget Kompressor and Rotondo, ???, profit.

Maybe Badspot has a machine attached to his heart, and if it ever stops beating the machine will automatically release the source code.

Depends. If Badspot dies a slow, painful death, like from an infection, he would have time to give the master server and source code to kompressor, who would be capable of running the game.

If he died quickly, well, Blockland would probably be forgeted.

The only think we need Badspot for is the master servers, since updates are few and far between and we get on fine without them.

So yeah, give the master and authentication servers to someone not dead, and life goes on, except for Badspot of course.

Ogm i no rite?
