i think that if you bring a lifeless brain back to life it would be the same as trying to run a wiped hard drive.

A brain is like a computer running 24/7. Everything stays the same when you shut it down (minus the decay in the brain after a while). The structure is still there, but with no electricity running through it. When you turn it back on, it doesn't know the difference.

Fixed, and so did I, a few times actually.

That video has a 150% chance of being so loving faked. In the part with the dog, you could see it's body in the background.

Unless I missed the part where it was labeled fake anyway.

In Soviet Russia, black and white is HD.

Actually, black and white film videos can exceed color HD quality.

The joke is over your head, but the Russians haven't been able to launch it way into space yet, so I cannot use the image.

i thought that the connections that create memories began decomposing as soon as it ran out of oxygen

If you were to preserve a brain, but remove all electrical impulses for while, then turn it back on, it would still be the same person with the same memories and personality. That is exactly how cryogenic freezing would work, if we could successfully thaw the person out. If you were to be cryogenically frozen for 1000 years, to you it would seem like you just took a short nap.
