Nintendo's showing us Pikmin 3 this year, I can feel it.

you're stranded on a planet with a broken spaceship, you find Pikmin and use them to recover spaceship parts.
in the first game you have a 30-day time limit to recover the parts. in the second game this time limit is removed and instead of surviving you're collecting treasure.

it's a fun game. the third one had been rumored for years until last E3, and apparently Miyamoto decided to bring the game over to Wii U (from the Wii) because of its better graphic abilities. they'll be showing it off on Wii U this year as far as I know.

#10 haha, that is a very old rumor. I'd definitely choose Valve over EA.

Nintendo is going to have a Pre-E3 show on Nintendo Direct (twitter post for Europe), tomorrow (June 3rd) at 5pm central time.

sounds like they'll be talking about its hardware. I'd assume that means they'll have more time on the 5th for games. :D
i won't be able to catch the pre-show until later in the day. hopefully they make it easy to replay it

Is the Wii U still gonna use the old Wii remotes? Does't seem like there would be much to do with them considering there's 2 joysticks, d pad and abxy buttons. And isn't the screen a touchscreen too?

I'm not really sure yet. I think it might be a combination of both, and perhaps some games will use the tablet only while others will use Wii Motes only (also it's backward compatible with Wii games). i'm hoping the tablet is the primary controller.
