Author Topic: blockland mod maker?  (Read 7509 times)

really, why doesn't badspot make this?
really, make it like THE GUMMI SHIP EDITOR
and mod maker
OK, so what you can do is basic: you can make player types, vechiles and items, and maybe, bricks
so, to make player types, you make a model using a model maker that is alot like milkshape 3d, EXCEPT, you have premade shapes, and you tweak CORNERS, to make the shape you want, you can also add more corners, and this is how it works for making ANY THING, even bricks, so any way, you made the head, a hand (you can clone it and mirror it) and the feet (you can make one, and do the same as you would do to a hand) then, you place "orbs" which each one well be for something, like for the "head" this is were you fps camera is placed, and you then set hand "orbs" that tell the game:1. were items are placed and 2. were to align the hand in a STRAIGHT LINE, and ALL YOU CAN CHANGE IS HOW FAR APART EACH HAND IS, so it won't look like on hand is limp, and the same for legs, you the proseed to make the animations, which make one for moving, sitting, crouching, and etc. which consists of frames, and you then set physics, aka, how "heavy" it is, how fast it goes, its health, and what ever else i didn't mention, add extras, like the ability to double jump, an you then "save" it, so its ready to be uploaded!
vehicle:
now, its alot like player types, EXCEPT you can only make two thing: moving parts (aka, wheels, jets, and etc) and you then set emitters for the moving parts, if they need it, and you then can make a carcass, aka the thing that you mount on/ it doesn't move, and it takes damage, and making it is like making a player type, except the only "orb" you can set is a mount point, and you later, oh wait!, you have to make animations for moving parts, if you made your own, sorry bout dat, but any way, you then can set its "style" aka, is it like the jeep? is it like a magic carpet? is it like a boat? or is it like a plane? then, depending on the one you chose, you set its turn radius, aka, how sharp are its turn, like is like a truck, that make wide turns, or a motor cycle that has accurate turning? you then set speed, health, and extras, again, an you save it, and upload it
items:
simpler than the rest, you can ONLY make TWO things:
consumables, and weapons, but tools and etc well need you to be scripted by, since it would be to hard to make that possible, but, you have to choose one, which each would be diffrent:
consumables:
the can do various things, like give you a speed boost, cure health, and, if add-on makers want to, can make ammo for gunz.
all you really have to do is make a model, and set a "orb" so the game knows where it should be if a player grabs it, and to can preview it with a default player type holding it, and you then set what it does:
give ammo
add abilities( double jump bitchez!)
or, add health
for ammo and health, it basically heals you or give you more ammo
for add abilities, it can be 1. have affect until you die, or 2. disappears after a while
you can:
add speed
add abilities
add whatever else
now, for weapons, you can make two type:
melee: these use the same animation used for the sword, and can only cause damage to those who touch when it "attacks"
projectile: these basically let you shoot bullets, and you can set to: rifle: it only shoots one, supa powa full bullet, or, shot gun: shoots many bullets
like items, you make a model, add a "orb" so the game knows were it should be in the hand, and then set its settings:
melee:
you can set:
speed: how fast does it swing
damage: how much damage does it do
and, er, i can't think of any thing else.
and bricks, err, i don't think thats a good idea...

also, you can make multiple shapes, and they can intersect, and, THEY CAN ONLY BE ONE COLOR.

ok, sorry about this wall of text, but please, some one, make dis!

yeah I kinda tl;dred that, feel free to tell me I'm wrong

Something like this could easily be done in torquescript.

you could make guis for various settings, then export all the preferences to a folder, which you can then zip up and release.

figured it was a dumb idea though so I didn't make it.

So to you I'm just a forum idiot.

Oh thanks, I was gonna support until you became that moron you were when you were banned multiple times.

Although theoretically possible, this is in a category with being able to make non-glitchy, non-laggy brick-built vehicles.

I'm sick and tired of you walking around this forum like your some sorta 'swag' guy.

Possible.
But if it were attempted, it would take a

loving
time.

well, that stuff is bannable, so if anyone DOES do that, they can get banned, but still, its not for making big mods
