Author Topic: The Tulpa Megathread V1 (aka "Stop liking what I don't like")  (Read 34667 times)

Since when is hacking your mind to see things that aren't there a good idea?

I won't harm you, and you have control over it. So it's not bad.

i swear, if youknowwho goes insane from this kochie, i'm going to kill you :c

you still have no trustable sources :u
it's the internet! Everybody knows everything on the internet isn't dangerous or idiotic at all!

i swear, if youknowwho goes insane from this kochie, i'm going to kill you :c

Vege? He won't. If he publicizes it, his social life may go out the window.

Ok Kochie wtf.  You keep saying that you have total control over your tulpa while that other dude keeps saying he's never heard that ever.

Ok Kochie wtf.  You keep saying that you have total control over your tulpa while that other dude keeps saying he's never heard that ever.

Because you can control it, it's a figment of your imagination that you create.

"Once the tulpa is endowed with enough vitality to be capable of playing the part of a real being, it tends to free itself from its maker¹s control. This, say Tibetan occultists, happens nearly mechanically, just as the child, when his body is completed and able to live apart, leaves its mother¹s womb. Sometimes the phantom becomes a rebellious son and one hears of uncanny struggles that have taken place between magicians and their creatures, the former being severely hurt or even killed by the latter."

ok man this is seriously forgeted up. this is like voodoo stuff and I don't think you fully understand it.

How did this get 20 pages overnight? did everyone forget to sleep but me?

anyway, I was browsing the Tulpaforce forums that I found in the link in the OP, and found this in a thread:

Making an existing character is okay, just don't expect her to come out exactly like on the show. Visually, minor (sometimes major) things will change. Personality-wise, expect larger changes because a TV character won't match the personality your subconscious wants for her.

A common suggestion is to use a background character who doesn't have much of a personality. That way, you can apply whatever personality you (and later she) wants.

A couple warnings if your character has a defined personality on the show:
  • Your tulpa may have an identity crCIA when she learns about the character she's based on. She might be upset that she isn't what she's "supposed to" be. However, if you expect her to be a different person and only look like that character, and tell her this, it should be okay.

  • Having your own different and more-real version of the character with you all the time may ruin the show for you.

So it's not a big deal, just be prepared to handle an identity crCIA.

yeah, he's totally not going to get hurt from this kochie >:c

Apparently people don't understand that you can control things made by your mind.

Rave it all depends on the person's mentality and their ability to remain sane with their mind.

My tulpa only has an outline that represents me, and acts as the other voice I talk to when I think of a joke or other points in an arguement or something. Mentally for me, I can't form an image of something, I can only form an outline.

okay so schizophrenia is controllable now?

Apparently people don't understand that you can control things made by your mind.
What about those times when you're just standing there and not paying attention and you do something completely ridiculous and people ask why and you're like "I don't know :("

I wouldn't trust my mind to make a sandwich without my conscience.

okay so schizophrenia is controllable now?
IT IS NOT SCHIZOPHRENIA.

You can't give yourself a mental disorder, like Kochie probably said millions of times now.
