Author Topic: Quantum Conundrum - that one cool looking puzzle game on steam  (Read 3697 times)

one of the designers of Portal, Kim Swift, has been busy on another puzzle game involving the breaking of physical laws.

so basically, the plot is that you go to your uncles house and suddenly ASPLOSIONS and then you're in his laboratory and he's actually trapped in another dimension, so you have to go through his house to get to him, but since his house is a laboratory, it's gonna be complicated getting there.

luckily, you have this thingymabob called the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device (or the IDS)

which lets you actually switch dimensions on the fly, which is basically switching modes of the world. one dimension is the fluffy dimension, where everything is fluffy so you can pick up items. for example, a safe, you normally can't lift, but if you switch to fluffy, you can use it easily. it goes on from that.

pictures yay

and a video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsXsykKucxg

there's also tf2 promos but nobody cares.

ikethegeneric get out of the game

there i changed the image in the OP

he's out of the game now

Looks like he's still in it to me :cookieMonster:

It looks like they drew inspiration from Ratchet and Clank.
I'm okay with that.

>try to buy
>ERROR CODE 102 SERVER OFFLINE

This looks fun but I'm super poor. ;-;

I would buy it, but I have no cash.

I like the cartoony TF2 style graphics.

12 days left to pre order y'all

Is this in Source engine? Would Garry be able to add support for it or would it be a Portal 2 deal? Or is the answers to all these Wait & See?

Kim Swift: "We started using the Unreal 3 engine, but we started from nothing. We had the engine, but we had no art assets, and we had no characters. So starting completely from scratch and trying to make the best game we could in a limited amount of time with a small amount of people was definitely a challenge. But it was a rewarding one."

tl;dr unreal 3 engine

Just pre-ordered the Season Pass, looking forward to playing

preordered the season pass the day it came onto steam
