Author Topic: [Suggestion]-Brick Groups  (Read 2548 times)

I have noticed recently that trying to activate many bricks at once causes an error on some server's with low schedules, and so I thought up this idea:

Brick Groups:
  • Can activate a whole group with one event
  • Naming of groups
  • Makes events a little bit easier

An idea of the GUI:

That's a really good idea
It's effectively a second name

I already posted this idea, but that gui idea looks great.
Anyway, since other people tend to get much more success with their suggestions, I support this!
However, could you include multiple brick group arguments, separated by commas?

So basically you event one brick and all the bricks with the same group name are assigned the events?

I love the multiple group idea, I would prefer the use of a semicolon though

Ooh, that might be cool.

Also, I'm not sure if zmaster and you are talking about the same thing; he's talking about having the events transferred to all of that group of brick, and you're talking about something like onactivate-brickgroup[Harold]-firerelay.
Right?

i was saying if anyone was going to do this i thought it would be cool to add my ideas to it
EX: wepon up/down for wepon positions

I dont get it, its the same thing as the brick having a second name. Someone explain to me this idea a little better.

So, yes, but it doesn't matter what you call it because it's brilliant

I wasn't talking to you

Also, elm, a brick can only have one name. Giving it more makes it easy to do all sorts of stuff. Say you have a screen made of bricks. You can use brickgroup names to target multiple bricks with an event at the same time; if you want to, the entire screen.

Re-read his post, that's not what he was asking

I don't quite see
Is it that I didn't explain that it wasn't actually a name?
It acts exactly like a name, as you said.
