Author Topic: What is a reliable source to download a controller program-thingy for Windows 7?  (Read 4704 times)

BUUUUMMPPPP BECAUSE I NEED HELP!
It won't work with controls.
I used Tesla's program btw.

It's not a free program. You pay for it, or you're stealing it.
We're not allowed to help any further than that.
The early versions of xpadder are free.

And they are still legal to download.

if it's a wired controller (you said it was).. according to like, every source i can find, as long as you downloaded the drivers from microsoft (what snot2 linked) you should be able to just plug it in and play, it should appear on your devices list

It does, but the thing is, the controls do not work right.

simply saying they "don't work right" really doesn't help someone trying to figure out the problem. is there an error? nothing's working? have you tried configuring the controls?

idk how to configure controls :|

try going in dev console (tilde; you have to enable it by advanced options) and typing 'exec 360controller' 'exec config.360'
and to reverse it type 'exec undo360controller'

what it does is it sets up the controls for the controller and if you have the drivers properly installed it should work.

ed: erp forget me pretty sure the first one should be 'exec config.360'
second one should be the same

360controller is for other games, ie tf2

Ummmmmm.... how use console :|?

go to the menu screen, hit options, keyboard/mouse, then change 'enable developer console' to enabled.
then hit done and close out to the menu screen again and this time hit tilde (` ~.. button under escape).
should bring up a box thing

Uh oh, your command is not working.
It says
exec config.360 is not found.

do you have a steam? this might be a lot easier lol
ed: nvm the command is exec config.360.cfg, it should spam your console up a little bit telling you the controls
