A few months back Valve announced a partnership with Overkill to make a new Left4Dead with PAYDAY: The Heist-type elements.

We've gone through a sequel of Portal, Left 4 Dead 2 and 1, Dota 2 and even Duke Nukem Forever and still no Half Life Episode 3.

It's actually not the normal type of company you'd think it is. The internal structure is more like a group of friends.

Fun fact: If you work at Valve and Gabe Newell tells you to do something, you can just decline. You won't get fired. You can also decide to add magical pink balloons to the website if you want to. Nobody has higher rights than others.
