I define micro-evolution differently. I define it as changing from one kind of animal to another, and that has never happened as far as people have observed.

The most precise classification of organism. Our own species, Homo sapiens sapiens is a prime example of a subspecies, which over time had diversified from Homo sapiens and respective common ancestors.

Think homo sapiens and homo erectus. Not two different animals like lions and penguins. That just doesn't happen.

These two instances are ring species. These species have evolved across great areas, but have looped around to meet their distant cousins or distant ancestors. What happens is, the two species cannot reproduce with each other yet both came from the same ancestor.

Take the time to understand what they are, and that might help you understand what evolution is.
