Author Topic: Is Evolution a Scientific Law, Theory, or both?  (Read 7505 times)

I WONDER WHAT FAITH IS
Faith has no bearing. People had faith that the world was flat.

Your faith is a placebo.

This isn't an argument about religion, it's about theories of how species came to be. You're getting a bit off-topic.
It's not even an argument anymore. We've given substantial cited evidence to Mysteroo but he's too inexorably ignorant to read it.

hurr durr profe he dosnt lol
inb4he pulls the double negative fallacy

I WONDER WHAT FAITH IS
Faith is blindly following something that can't be proven. This is why religion is stupid.

This topic was originally me pushing the idea that Evolution should also be considered a law due to observation. I really can't believe it turned into this.

I define micro-evolution differently. I define it as changing from one kind of animal to another, and that has never happened as far as people have observed.

Quote
evolutionary change within a species or small group of organisms, especially over a short period.
Quote
Microevolution is the changes in allele frequencies that occur over time within a population. This change is due to four different processes: mutation, selection (natural and artificial), gene flow, and genetic drift.
Quote
Evolution involving small-scale changes, i.e. within the species level, occurring over a short period of time that results in the formation of new subspecies.

Quote
The most precise classification of organism. Our own species, Homo sapiens sapiens is a prime example of a subspecies, which over time had diversified from Homo sapiens and respective common ancestors.
Think homo sapiens and homo erectus. Not two different animals like lions and penguins. That just doesn't happen.

Welcome to the Blockland forums. Say "evolution" or "religion" and stuffstorm ahoy!

Changing to another species is fact, that happens all the times in dogs.
What. What the forget is this?

What. What the forget is this?
He's handicapped. Just ignore him.

These two instances are ring species. These species have evolved across great areas, but have looped around to meet their distant cousins or distant ancestors. What happens is, the two species cannot reproduce with each other yet both came from the same ancestor.

Take the time to understand what they are, and that might help you understand what evolution is.

Mysteroo left the thread cause he realized he has no chance of winning this argument.

it's a person's choice to believe in something

it's a person's choice to believe in something

But when mounds of evidence contradicts that faith, it becomes delusion to continue holding on to it.

it's a person's choice to believe in something
I can choose to believe that you don't exist, but that doesn't make it true.

Just because you won't get decapitated for having an idea doesn't make your idea true.

Additionally, if you post your idea on the internet, you deserve to have it criticized.

it's a person's choice to believe in something
Not the damn issue.

I love how they always go to "I'm free to do this."

The Bible is basically science from 1000s of years ago.
The Bible is made up of theries, but ones that are not as relevant today because better ones have been made.
