To be a law it doesn't need to explain.
All it needs to do is describe what happens in given circumstances.

Well there's a difference between Newton's law of universal gravitation, which is the equation associated with the law that calculates the effects, and gravitation as described by Einstein's general theory of relativity.

It's a theory but a scientific theory is not the same as a literary theory. A scientific theory has to have massive data backing it up without any arguable flaws or proof against it's validity.

Also I'd like to say that if you don't believe in evolution you are a complete moron and should feel bad. Even if a god exists he will probably condemn you to hell for not believing in evolution because he wouldn't want someone that stupid in heaven.
