Wait, are some people in this thread saying obesity isn't going to clog up your arterys and kill you?

Yes. Fat tends to induce denial as well.

I found this smashingly amusing.

Obesity is patriotic, what are you guys talking about

THERE ARE FAT PEOPLE IN AMERICA?

WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?

I once stayed with some friends in England as you may or may not remember. Lets just say they shouldn't be calling us fat when most meals there are large and bacon and butter sandwitches are a common breakfast food.

According to that chart, my mothers room mate who bike thirty miles a day is obese.

Take roughly the population of Australia, times that by 4, take away a bit and you get how many obese americans there are.

Even though Australia has a higher obesity rate.

According to this chart, if I drop 10 pounds I'll be in the healthy range.
Sounds about right.

I'm pretty fat, 5'9 or 10 and I weigh 165. I used to weigh 173 and I was a bit shorter, so yay I lost some weight. I have a bit of a road ahead but I've only got 15ish pounds to go. :P

Being fat sucks. A lot. People don't treat you very well socially. Fortunately I don't get bullied about it, the main reason I'm losing it is for health. My BMI says I'm normal, bordering obese, but BMI appears to be a stuffty system according to this thread.

5'5 120 pounds
I only eat fast food and I never work out or run.

I'm pretty sure the stufftyness of BMI shines like the sun when you get to people who work out a lot. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you might end up with a 6'1" guy who's thin but pretty buff who is overweight according to BMI. I don't consider BMI anymore.
