I still find it hilarious how badly MLP has screwed up and attracted an age group far from what they were aiming for.

actually, they got a bonus. they attracted the exact group they were aiming for, kids (more specifically, little girls), and also obtained the new fans. they've probably had more profits with the franchise than ever before.

i'd thought though that having two age groups, (little children and young adults) wouldnt mix too well. if i was a little 7 year old girl and my mommy took me to an MLP convention i'd be pretty scared by all the big strangers running around dressed up as rainbow dash :cookieMonster:

ITT: copious amounts of generalization.

it'd probably be the same as taking them to a circus or amusement parks with clowns and such. little kids will enjoy it if it has things they like.
it might be awkward for some (I know it would be for me, but that's my personality type), but others probably don't care

Hasbro doesn't run the convention, so it's not affecting them.

Yet bronies still seem to demand more adult merchandize from hasbro.

One person was complaining because a My Little Pony coloring book was too easy and simple.

Another complained how the pony toys looked like they are aimed for little girly children when the show tries to seem manly. (People have complained about this too on these forums).

Then there was more people complaining how they never make any adult T-shirts only a few older people would get the reference to.

Etc, etc, etc, etc.

that's because the toys do actually look pretty terrible, and I'm saying that from a nonobjective standpoint.

hasbro doesn't manufacture MLP-related clothing. another company does that.

It was hard to hear what they were saying at times, so I decided to turn on closed captions. It was awful, but funny at the same time. Here's the one that first caught my eye:

But that was actually pretty weird. Even uncomfortable to watch at times. I'm not a brony-hater nor do I troll them, but man that was creepy.

Actually there is more than one, don't take me so literally.

I heard some guy got disability just to watch MLP all day.

Anyway Here is a Know Your Meme video:
