Author Topic: do atheists still have the right to say "oh my god"?  (Read 2236 times)

>belief that god isn't real?

I think atheism is moreso a lack of belief rather than denial of belief.

Yes, yes they do.
My dad who's an Atheist says it all the time, he also constantly yells "I SWEAR TO GOD" and all.
1st amendment.

Probably to mock the theists :cookieMonster:

I say it all the time because I was raised as a Roman Catholic, but I don't really believe in any deity.

burn them at the stake!!!!!!!!!!

I have the right to say just about anything I want. If I want to say "Riddler, Riddler, jew niger" I can. Of course, there would be consequences for saying that in certain situations, but it wouldn't be illegal. Saying "oh my god" is an expression similar to "loving stuff." When I say "loving stuff" I don't literally mean that I'm having love with stuff, it's an explanation. Likewise, saying "oh my god" doesn't imply I believe in god, because it is an exclamation.

Damn right they do.  This is America.

*not that I wish to imply that atheists have rights and stuff

oh forget off

How about "Oh gods!"?

christians arent allowed to say "common sense!"  :cookieMonster:
