Author Topic: I don't like Port Forwarding  (Read 1811 times)

I guess Port Forwarding is not my thing.

I can port forward Blockland in simple ways but sometimes it dosen't work. I'm on vacation at my grandmother's house and when I tried to port forward, I would of nearly ruined her router internet connection if it weren't for Windows Troubleshooting. T_T I think i'm going to quit port forwarding.

It's not that hard.

have you been using the www.portforward.com tutorial?

Without port forwarding you wouldn't be able to receive any connections under a network of multiple computers at all. It's a great thing.

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.

I don't really know how to describe it any better, you explained port forwarding so I posted a rhyme about the inner workings of socket networking, it was also a play on your name.

I'm lazy, I just do a DMZ setting-- but I have good reason, we have two routers. Don't ask.

Port forwarding is highly enjoyable. :P

I've forgotten about this one :cookieMonster:

i'm assuming you did something wrong on the IPv4 settings and forgeted it up

get to this window. the connection status

and click "details"

my laptop happens to be device number 101 on the network.

so when i port forward something. i have to enter the 101 in the ip box for the port im opening.

(only the 3 digit device number would be needed as the rest is filled out) though not always filled out, sometimes you gotta type the entire local address in, depending on the router you own.

heres my guide. its better cuz its got more pictures :D
