Author Topic: [video] some elevator  (Read 937 times)

hi guys, i made a video. I wouldn't call myself an expert at video-editing. What do you guys think?

The video went a little slow, and you took to much time to sit down.

I just don't understand how you got locked in the room.  Any back story to that?

a guy walks into an elevator and has a seizure.

the elevator looked cool enough i guess but i feel like it had all the plot depth of sonic generations

also the ambiance implied that something was going to eat his face off or something but then he had a seizure and fell asleep

sort of anticlimactic, you see

I actually really liked it.

It wasn't trying to be funny. It wasn't trying to be random. It was... just so odd. So abstract, so intriguing. The scenes were really slow, but after watching it I like the slowness of the scenes because it created a sense of time dilation. The dull drab build really helped create a sense of... I dunno, dread?

When the elevator came on, the music almost ruined it for me. But yet, I came to realize as the music sped up, that it was eerily ironic.

I don't know what you were trying to do here, but I liked it. And the production quality was good, interesting angles, good music, and thankfully free of any HUD or anything crap.

You should list the video.

i thought that it was trying to be funny

surreal humor and whatnot

Thanks. I honestly had no idea what I was trying to make. ...

Awnser my question, please.

What did you use to record, please tell.

Awnser my question, please.

The main character was just fired from his job and went back to the hotel where he lives.
Uh, I tried to mix horror and comedy together.

Fraps, I usually get a FPS of 60 ~ 90.

I don't understand what's supposed to happen. Where was he to begin with? Why was he there? Hardly any questions in this video were ever answered. Guy goes into an elevator after being trapped in what appears to be a lobby/waiting room, but how did the lobby/waiting room get locked in the first place?

It's unknown.  :cookieMonster:
Sorry, I really had no idea what I was trying to make. I just piled up a bunch of thoughts into a video.

it was only funny when he got bored in the elevator and started to procrastinating, not hilarious but entertaining.

I don't understand what's supposed to happen. Where was he to begin with? Why was he there? Hardly any questions in this video were ever answered.

Sometimes those questions don't need to be answered.

In this case, Spiral said the video was random. But its not a bad approach to intentionally leave things unanswered for effect. People do it all the time in YouTube videos, or movies, or television shows.
