Author Topic: [Notepad Bricks] - Ability to Type Text on Walls of Bricks  (Read 1852 times)

Basically a huge notepad brick that you can somehow type sentences on without having to go through the hassle of the print-gun and individual print bricks. Not sure how you would enter type-mode or whatever, maybe a command like /type and when you click on the notepad brick you can begin typing on that notepad brick.

The size of the text in the notepad brick would range from all different sizes; perhaps a 4x1x5 brick would have a smaller font than a 20x1x20 brick.

Try to expand upon this idea, if possible.

Possible sizes:
4 x 1 x 5
12 x 1 x 5
16 x 1 x 16
24 x 1 x 16

Huh
If you could use a grid of arranged static shapes, or models basically, no depth, just faces, this could be pulled off.
Or images, if that's what you w-

Wait, remember that brick text that floats over the top of the brick?
What if you just made that align on the brick.

that's a shape name

as you go far away it tries to remain the same size on your screen so it wouldn't be a very good thing to use

It would also rotate if you move side to side.

I thought making something like this several times, but never have.

This is how I wanted the event to work, but the problem is that if the invisible static shape it spawns is inside a brick, you can't see the text.

couldn't you just reset the ve...
wait.
What if you made a brick with one side that was transparent or whatever, so when it showed up with the text, you saw it inside, yet there was another part of it that had flipped faces so it could keep a background on the text?

second gun
type gun when you fie it it will open a blank window that yo can type in
part i dont know is how it would like each letter to a grid spot

the text above bricks is a shapename as i said

shapenames don't show through transparent bricks, only through non-raycasting ones.

Why can't you speak proper English...I'm sure your idea is fine, but I don't understand stuff.

I think you're saying like a gun that would fire a bullet that would activate keyboard mode? I think clicking would be better. No need for a separate item.

He was saying like some gun like the print gun. When you aim it at a print brick, it opens the gui to type in.

Quite unnecessary.

Quite unnecessary.

Pencil mesh.

Shoots lead.

Opens print menu for tiny print bricks.

Solved?
