Author Topic: Should we be able to delete our own account?  (Read 821 times)

so we have easy access if we need to or want to look through them?

so yes, it does matter
does it matter if you can't delete the account? why would you even want to?
Because maybe some people have accounts that they never use.
I do, some of my old ones.

I don't even see a use for them, why would you NEED to go back and see the posts?

yes that way when boltster deletes his account i can make a new one named boltster and pretend im him!!
Ohh good point lol.

I have old accounts i dont use.. so i dont use them.. their existence doesn't bother me because .. i don't use them
what is your actual reason for wanting this? so you can remove old accounts that have embarrasing posts?

i don't know? i just know it's handy to be able to read peoples posts and view their profile, and i know badspot wouldn't bring in a feature that removed accounts and wiped their posts from existence. it'd break the forums.

I just would feel uncomfortable with accounts that I don't use.

ya same its like theyre..... watching you.........

if you delete the account all posts would be gone which leads to stupid stuff. like if kitty or whatever his name is was deleted the irl picture topic would be gone

No. A person would get banned, delete the account, and make a new one with the same name on a different key. It would be annoying.

No, the name would just be in black text and unclickable. There are a few members on here whos accounts are deleted after making posts.
