Author Topic: Overpopulation is a rapidly growing threat, how would you fix it?  (Read 7242 times)

There's not enough resources to feed everyone on the planet, therefore a lot of people right now are starving to death because of this. What I want to know is how you guys would solve this problem.

The other problem is that to fix overpopulation, you either need to mass produce faster, euthanize millions of "insuperior" people or relocate people to a habitable planet.

The next problems are that mass producing still doesn't fix the entire problem, euthanizing is morally wrong on many different levels and our space travel system is horribly inefficient and outdated.

Get rid of 'baby bonus' and 'welfare' cheques.

Doesnt it balance out with the growing of population.

by letting people starve instead of just killing them?

Nuclear warfare should sort that out pretty quick.

bomb/somehow slaughter all 3rd world countries, use their land for farming

You can't farm on forgeted up land.

And no country is just going to do that, lol.

Then we might as well kill those people anyway, and save them some pain? The problem is we can't predict who'd starve though..

Maybe we should put a strict tax on having more than one child.

If you took the entire state of Washington, and filled it with all of the people in the world, there would be enough room for an apartment for each person. If you added stories to this, then there would be room for large families.

The rest of the world could be used for industry, growing food, etc.

I was talking to my mom about this the other day, she said a way to stop the mass population would to sterilize mothers whom are deemed unfit to raise children or women who pop out babies every year just to collect welfare.

It just isn't an efficient way to fix the problem, but I see where you're coming from.

Nuclear warfare should sort that out pretty quick.

It would make matters worse. Not only would other countries be pissed off at the one who bombed the place, but you also have to think about the imports that everyone gets from the 3rd world countries.

Um, no we can't.

You don't just kill people because they're hurting. And you can't predict who'll make it.

So you'd just have to kill people with the will to live for the benefit of those who wouldn't.

Decimation on a global scale. if your population is too big, don't cut it smaller, get rid of it entirely.

"screw efficiency i want my wii fit, ford focus, and a tower with the only purpose of organizing my mail and money, oh and about 200 acres for my golf course. we don't need any more farms!"
