I've never used blender until just a week ago... I haven't used any 3D modeling program ever till then actually...
But i learned how to model on the first day! Really easy cheese program. Love it.

When I look at her models, I feel like I lacked a lot on mine.

its bad because it is bad. there shouldn't be a comparison between milkshape and blender. blender offers tools that allow you to model 100x more efficient than you could ever do in milkshape. milkshape gets the job done, but blender gets the job done and does it better.

As long as the models get done and look good, i don't think the program is an issue, stop downrating everything, it's not all about you and what you like.

In blender, when i want to make a barrel, what tool do i use to make it with? The cylinder is just, well.

Or can i use a regular cube and shape it into something else?

I already went to a tutorial sight, courtesy of The Corporation,  and learned most of the tools for moving around and basic model moving keys and such.
But i need to "pay" for something that is already free.
