If you don't know back then, along time ago there was a add-on called JVS Portals, and they allowed you two place a portal brick somewhere and place other ones somewhere else, but these would not just teleport you from one place to another, these gave you a gui when you used them, and it allowed you to choose the one your teleporting to, or it was something like that, anyways the add-on was never seen again, much like JVS Elevators, but those we know why Trader stopped working on.
I was thinking why not make new ones, but these will work by event instead of a special brick, so you will be able to use any brick to select a location and teleport there, it would give the same type of gui, but it would have more customization, it would also render the ability to make it so you can make a teleporter with location to any other brick set with the portal event or name, but you could make admin only ones for say admin rooms or locations only admins could go to, heck maybe even make one that allows Host only to go there, or add a new feature for when a brick is activated the portal is activated so you can use it to choose a location to teleport.
I know there are some very good scripters around and as I have not seen Trader around at all I don't think he would be willing to re-make them, and I think the we should drop the JVS from the add-on name, I think a name like Modular Teleports considering you can link a near infinite amount, of course their will admin/host prefs for how many a person can own or if only admins can use/create Modular Teleports.
I really hope this will be made, I know some people will say use teledoors or use setplayer transform, but this is different.
TLDR;JVS Portals should be remade to be more flexible and have more customizations like who can use, how many people can make, and not make it a brick, but make it an event, and give it a new name "Modular Teleports".
