Gay marriage is illegal because marriage is a commitment to God and the bible clearly state that gays aren't allowed. The bible also states you should not go into marriage with the intention of not to have kids (gay people can't have kids).

Gays can adopt though, which is a better option anyway because there are plenty of kids in orphanages that need a home, and its best to deal woth those kids before making even more kids.

I was ashamed when my state legalized gay marriage. God's word should be the law of the land and if those friends don't like it they can leave my country.

Why. I respect everyone's religious beliefs and you are free to think homoloveuality is wrong, but why the absolute forget would you mix church with state in a government that was founded specifically to prevent religious intolerance? It goes entirely against the Constitution.
