Author Topic: DJ mixers (suggest some)  (Read 825 times)

Okay, so I was looking through some DJ mixers, I already mix on FL Studios, but I'm looking to do some stuff live.

I wanted to go with THIS at first, but YoungRotations directed me to THIS BEAST.

Any other suggestions guys?

For beginner i do suggest Numark Mixtrack // Mixtrack Pro

Use YoungRotations suggestion. It's a good start for beginners.

Okay, forgot to mention, I'm trying to keep a budget of $100-150.

You won't get anything good quality with that budget, save your money and get something that will last.

I first got the Mixtrack Pro, played about 6 shows with it, returned it for store credit and now I have a Novation Launchpad. I'd say use the Mixtrack Pro as it will teach you the basics, and try returning it later to get some midi device, because the Mixtrack doesn't have much controls for effects.

yeah, I'll see what else I can do, most of my saving are going towards a PC.

Novation Launchpad + Stanton SCS.4DJ + Laptop w/ Mixxx

can you guys include links?

Why does anybody do this with external devices. That was cool in the 80's when they still sold records everywhere and didn't have programs to do this easily.

Hardware is always easier and more reliable than just software.

Except that hardware has moving parts, and software is ran on your non-moving CPU.

What? My launchpad sits right on my disc, perfectly still. Inside my computer I have a fan that moves.
