Author Topic: map2dif not compiling .map  (Read 3459 times)

When i run "<directory>map2dif.exe  <map.map>" to compile my map it comes up with the error message "Unable to find texture "GRAYDARK" (.png or .jpg)". All my textures are .jpg's and i don't see why its producing this error message.

hmm is it in the right folder? Have you tried renaming it? You need to try more stuff.

'tis in the right folder, renamed it three times already, any other suggestions?

I had that too, you gotta make sure all the textures that you used to make the map are in the folder where the .map is saved.

they're all there, i made the .wad from the textures in that folder.

Working on it, hold on.

You gave me two .map files, Warkcity and Zombiecity, which one do you need me to turn into a .dif?

Their both the same thing, just choose warkcity.

ok, problem.
Whenever I try to open either of the .map files, it tells me that there is an error, and an object could not be loaded.
This causes triangular holes in some of the roofs, as pictured below.
If it's suppoused to be like that, than tell me and I will turn it into a .dif, if not, please try to fix it and pm me the latest .map file.

not sure whats happening there, probably got corrupted.

assuming the edit buttons not showing up, i'll have to double post.

monty insted of using a command line, just drop the file onto the map2dif.exe.

it works.

didn't think of that.

That's map tearing, bad stuff.
