Deus Ex: Game of The Year Edition Won't Launch

i just got the deus ex collecters package or w/e its called and i was wondering what the missing link is, is it something you start off playing? is it a side game or a side story?

this also applies to deus ex: invisble war

i've been using this to try to fix the game but it doesnt fix it, any suggestions?

It's adds a mission into a part of the game where normally nothing happened. Kinda cool.

oh well that answers my question. now i cant get deus ex to work because it cant find steam and the fix doesnt work because it says im missing the engine.dll and im turning this topic into that lol

Play Deus Ex: HR up to the part where you go to sleep in stasis on the boat. Then play the DLC and resume the main game.

I was going to edit my post to help his initial question but he was very vague with the "doesn't launch". That's like asking "help guys my game borked how do i fix it" with no specific error or problem lol.

Try validating the game's cache files. Right click, properties, validate game cache.
