Anyone think blockland is getting ruined?

I hosted my Winter Jail Escape for about 4 hours yesterday.  I came back with 1 blockhead playing.  I checked the cmd, and it was pretty much empty.  :|

They didn't join because a) jail escapes are stuff or b) there's not enough people to play, causing a cycle of nopes.

to get people to love your server, you need to either have a GREAT ORIGINAL IDEA (as opposed to a traditional jail rp or zapt on asfganistan or tdm on slopes), or a TRADITIONAL IDEA DONE EXCEPTIONALLY (like a good tdm on slopes or a zapt on a custom map). you also need to build it with a big idea, and make it so you have at least 2 hours of work into it.

People are going to the popular servers because they enjoy those servers, it's their favorite. People don't go to your server because they don't enjoy it. stop trying to blame your server population problem on the hosts of the other servers.

Why would I join your server over someone I know with players I know that is fun and enjoyable. I assume both of your servers are stuff as well. Also OP if you want a new server, make a new server.

If people wanted to play on his server, they would. But they don't. Why? Not because of the other server hosters, but because of the server and its quality. If your server is lacking quality, it will be lacking in players.

If you don't like those servers, don't go to them. If you don't like any server that's up, host.

I can't host servers anymore with more than 10 people because of dedicated servers.  I reached 32/32 players at Blox's Winter Jail Escape (I'm Blox) when there was only a few dedicated servers like Pecon7's Boss Battles (note: I am not against this since it is the only one on most of the time)

I am talking about servers like
Jorgur's Classic Dogfight
Glass' Trench Wars
Tezuni's JAIL RP
Socrates' Bounty Hunter   ]
Vilegence's City RPG       ]  <-- these two are new

These servers maintain 10 or more players at almost all times.  This is starting to make me think of ROBLOX.  ROBLOX has thousands and thousands of players playing at one time, but there are almost always those favorites of people that have atleast 100 playing at ALL times.  Not ALMOST all times.  Though it seems selfish to have such a fit over other servers that are quite nice, I am just a little mad.  I want to keep the system of Blockland, like how there are only very popular servers that are non-ded that are popular once a day, and how the next day there are different popular servers.  This way, people can interact with the hosts, play more creative servers, and interact with the server more.  With dedicated servers, (I am not against people who are not planning to become "famous" and never visit their server often and ignore all the people at his/her dedicated server) the hosts can be mean.  CAN be mean.  I am not saying all hosts are mean, but I have found a few hosts that think they are sooooo famous and well-known from their server, that they are roostery, mean, and they ignore the people who want to interact or become friends with the host.  (<-- ADMIN OPERTUNITY.  THEY ARE RUINED BY THESE TYPE OF HOSTS WHO ONLY ADMIN/SUPER ADMIN THEIR FRIENDS)

Think this is not right?  Think they worked hard to get these servers.
I think they worked hard.  But it's just how they keep them going for days and weeks, stealing all of the players so players with new idea's or cool thought or fun games cannot reach the top of the server list (when you filter players)

I want to run this poll for 7 days to see if I should give up of caring about how blockland works.  If the majority is NO, fine, I don't care.  I refuse to join these servers anyway.  If the majority is I DON'T CARE, alrighty then.  At least I know I am totally stupid :P

Post a message saying you vote yes and that you agree that this is right and that dedicated servers are bad.

i was banned from vigilantes because i was complaining about cops (p. gay host btw) glass's server is boring and stupid, and Jorgur's gets old fast.

If your server has no one on them, it should not still be up. The reason why people join a server is to play with other people. Once a dedicated server hits 0 players, its dead and nobody want to join a dead server.

What if the dedicated server isnt hosted to be populated, though, but rather for a long dedicated build? :(

those servers are all half-assed and required pretty much no effort to create except Jorgurs.
