Author Topic: Could you make a half brick in blockland?  (Read 3213 times)

Fix for the two on top of each other.
Make a brick that looks like two on top of each other but is just one brick.

To fix your overlapping bricks problem, maybe make it so that when you place two half bricks in one grid space, it creates a full brick?

different colours

You could make a brick that has its model appear outside of the stud it occupies
For a 1x2 brick, that would essentially be like this.

Here, the white squares would be the spot that the brick actually takes up, and the black squares would be where you see the brick.

OP
why would you want to put two in the same spot anyway?
just use a regular plate for that

OP wants them to be different colors, I imagine.

No, and no. He wants them for Comblock, so we can make smaller computers. Our computer parts are 1x1 studs, and a computer generally has 6-7 parts to it. Having this would halve the size of our computers.

Albiet true we could simply event the bricks that the computer itself is made up of, alot of our computers use relays and require hardware bricks to be in close proximity.

or you could target a named brick for the relay and not even worry about it having to be next to the target

also:

(ignore the quality. I guess I forgot to make it take png screenshots)

17 usable bricks, not including a power button
that's twice what you said you needed
and if you want it really small, use just the white parts; that's exactly seven
why would it need to be any smaller?

we could just make stuff like Port's System_Quar which makes pixels really small. kind of like 8 bit. it's good but Port will not release it.

I thought it just colored the 1x1's.

If you're going to take the time to script a tiny brick, you might as well script the system.

Doesn't the water bricks allow other bricks to be placed inside of it?

Yeah, explain why that matters though?

Well if you classify the brick as a water brick you can place bricks inside the other brick

Placing zone bricks in zone bricks is the same as planting regular bricks in regular bricks
However, we've established that both these things are possible to do, but they can't be fully integrated into Blockland unless badspot changes some stuff
