Just speaking with an open mind. I want to be a scientist, so like a scientist, i come up with theories. I want to combine faith with logic. I know it sounds stupid.

For like the third time in this topic, a scientific theory is not the same as a literary theory. All the dumb Christians seem to think they're the same thing and use them as justifications in arguments and it makes them look like dumbasses to anyone with sense.

There is a huge amount of things wrong with making up stories and ideas to feel good.

1. You could feel good about actual facts
2. You no longer show appreciation towards actual facts
3. You contribute to those that try to diminish actual facts
4. You devalue to usefulness of discovery and advancements.

That is not what scientists do. Theories are not just random thoughts. They are formed from evidence previously found or observed. Scientific theories require evidence for them to be theories.

I would like to add that laws do not explain why things happen, but instead that they do happen. Theories are what are used to back up laws and explain laws.

Plus it doesnt directly state that non believers will go to hell. As long as you dont kill for no reason, steal, do things out of jealousy, cheat on your spouse, and if you do treat your parents with respect and do charitable things, and just overall being a good person, then i am sure that God will forgive you
