Xbox Live is just a shakedown done by Microsoft, nothing new. They COULD take away the requirement to buy it and just keep their Microsoft Point thing but they don't have enough golden toilet paper to wipe their asses with yet. I wouldn't doubt that every modern game developer is in it with Microsoft to make all their games only system-link/online co-op just to make more money.

Thing is it's necessary to use things we do like. If I simply didn't like Xbox Live because it was its own piece of stuff thing that wasn't related to the ability to do anything else, I wouldn't complain about it, but it's a requirement for most games on Xbox 360.

As unfortunate as that is. You're stuff out of luck and can't do a thing to change it.
Not trying to be an ass, but if you can't/don't want to pay for it. Then you don't get the benefits of it.
No matter how expensive, stupid, outdated, or stuff it is. You just don't get Xbox Live. That's all there is to it.

I on the other hand, own an Xbox with Live and will be playing this if it turns out good.

I'm not trying to be rude.. But complaining isn't going to help. Millions of people pay for live so they aren't going to change the price. Sorry if I was being kinda mean about it.

But my point is still completely valid. Microsoft gives no forgets about the people who can't afford it. Not saying I agree with this, but it's true. I work for my money to pay for live mang.

Class3 is only the beginning I guess.  Its more of a tech demo for their next game which is code named Class4.  Class4 will be an open world zombie survival MMO with a map the size of a state.
