Author Topic: Does anybody know a good .ogg player?  (Read 1574 times)

Apparently Windows Media Player and iTunes can't open ogg files, so I tried to download an .ogg player and it turned out to be malware.
Any suggestions?

VLC
This too I guess. VLC and foobar are pretty standard programs in anyone's open source/freeware media program list.

I can play .ogg files on my Windows Media Player.

I can play .ogg files on my Windows Media Player.
This was bundled with WMP12 (the one bundled with Windows 7).

VLC, but you can download the K-Lite codec pack and allow Windows Media Player to play all kinds of files.

Audacity bro. I use it all the time.

Audacity is pretty clunky for just listening to music.

winamp plays .ogg
I think irfanview does too, but I'm not sure because I use winamp for all of my audio files

Winamp. It's probably the best music player available.

VLC

Oh god no. VLC is a piece of stuff. Get the Combined Community Codec Pack with MPC.

Oh ya, I had heard about that program. Never actually used it though. What's good about it? Google's not helping me out here since apparently people who use either program are the most handicapped people to ever exist.

Winamp.

Only complaints I've ever heard about Winamp is the interface, which is completely customizable.
