Author Topic: My first build!  (Read 5620 times)

Oh It's just magnificant, I don't know what I would do with out it.

Here is a link to the duplicator, first of all.

And something random and completely useless you can add to the first post.

Oh, thanks, but Curiosblockland6 already gave me the link.

xD Thanks, I added it to the bottom of the topic.

I just realized that some of the pictures have gone blank, I'll fix this as soon as possible, thank you all for your patience.

Edit: The pictures posted in the original topic have been fixed.

The problem was due to me deleting the pictures accidentally from the website that they we're on, Picasa Web Albums, this problem is now fixed.

I will try to contact Plexious via PM to ask if he could fix his comment with the new pictures.

Looks good for a starter. You'll hopefully get more inspiration when you look at other builds.

Thanks! This was inspired mostly by the default saves, but I've been looking at a lot of other builds on the Gallery, for an idea of what people think looks good in a build and what doesn't etc.

wow, you are going to be building awesome stuff in no time.

Very small pictures

My computer is very slow and old, taking a normal DOF (I think that's what it's called) screen-shot takes about a minute from the time when I press the buttons to the time I can actually move my player, I tried doing the Megashot, and it took me ten minutes. Because of this huge wait, the Megashot just doesn't work out for me.

So I guess everyone will have to just put up with my tiny screen-shots for now.

the dof takes a little while for everyone, megashot is better off using 1 instead of 3 since that takes a picture 3 times your monitor size (i believe) meaning of course it will be slow, just take regular pictures with ctrl p and upload them to a different picture host. i'm sure your computer screen is not that small.

I'll try doing a Megashot using one instead of three, what picture host would you recommend?

Guys

Stop posting 'your first build'

You had a first build once. You were once a noob. The way you get to be a good builder is by getting your builds critiqued. I'm sure you were an extremely crappy builder once, but you got better 'cause you got tips. So shut up.

Anyway, the build is insanely good for your first. I think MY first build was a little red box with weapons inside. But it is your first build. It lacks texture, color and details. You could put stuff inside it (i.e. desks, cubicles, and computers). Try adding a little stuff outside the building too, like trees, or cars and sidewalks or something.

Thank you for your feedback.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'texture', though. On the color front, however, I wanted to keep it a simple black and grey, because it is just an office building, after all.

I am currently working on a version two, in which I will be adding a lot more to the interior, and the exterior as well.

Try using Imgur. You can either register an account or just upload photos. Pretty basic and fast to upload images.

This is very good for a first build. The only thing I advise is you add some interior accessories to it.

You said you just bought this game, no? Like Yosher said, when I first started, I barely knew how to place a brick down properly, let alone do it fluently.
