Someone obviously has no knowledge of Minecraft's history.

Nor Terraria either, seeing as commentators got their hands on copies to spread the news in the early versions of the game.

There was the leaked version of terraria before any talk really got out there about it, and there were like 3 videos of minecraft on nizzotch before it came out, so im counting those as "released before revealed"

inb4game has a few small updates, one major update, then no more updates forever
Yet again. Quit making references with Terraria. Made by different people entirely, with the exception of Tiy.

THIS OK SERIOUSLY STOP MAKING JOKES THAT RELATE IT TO TERRARIA IN ANY WAY OK NO JOKES ALLOWED I WILL RAPE YOU

I can tell you're using sarcasm. It just peeves me off when people relate the two when they're aren't by the same company.
Let's all just start comparing minecraft and blockland.

Notch can't come up with anything origional.
Infiniminer comes out -> Make minecraft
Space Mining Sandbox -> Make 1x10c

Now he has a large fanbase composed of people that suck at games who have a large fanbase of there own. Also the media makes a big deal out of every little thing he says.

welcome to popularity.

welcome to popularity.
Notch: Guys i just took a stuff.
WOAOAOAAAAH

I remember when Minecraft was just a simple building game that was considered less cool than Infiniminer. Boy did that ever change.

To put the popularity in perspective, I live in a town tucked away in the North Carolina mountains with less than 2,000 people. I went to the local Walmart one day and saw somebody with a creeper shirt.

Someone told me about this on omegle last night.

I talked with a couple admins on the IRC, they said that the release date was moved back to end of year instead of end of summer, however they did say that the deadline is starting to get progressively shorter with the amount of working going on currently.

Doesn't actually have anything to do with starbound but it was on the starbound site:

This looks pretty cool, somebody should make a thread for it.
