Its based off of the hotel from The Shining. The moveis old, and so the theme of the hotel is horrendous. Especially room 237.

Burn the maker of this thread on a pile of wood. He is obviously a wizard, as he conjured the default colorset up to fight on the good side.
No really first build that I have seen that uses the default colorset properly.
Think about sinking the caprets into the floor though. The carpets are currently /3rd of a stair-step high.
Think of how awkwardly thick that would be in real life.

Your gonna need a better colorset.

The build is really nice.

Nice. Very nice.

I'd like a room.

Thanks for your posts everyone, I'm glad to see my efforts are being appreciated!

-snip-
I think I know what you mean about the Gold Room, it was difficult to find even a halfway decent color combination for the carpet while still using the default colorset. The lighting is also a bit off too, I suppose. The entire hotel has evented lights, but because only seven lights are visible at a time, most rooms look less accurate with them on.

There are actually bots all over the hotel that resemble different characters from the film, one of them being Scatman Crothers's character, richard Hallorann. I removed them for the OP.

As far as the exterior goes, I'll probably add some false windows and stuff sometime soon, but it might take a little while because I'm also working on three other projects right now. Sorry for taking awhile to reply.

I like the last picture.  It looks real, so which bricks did you use?

Are the teeth using ramps or terrain bricks?

10/10

would forget again

10/19
Open server please. I want to see more

Holy crap this is gorgeous, must have taken forever.

May we rate and critique?

Sorry about the bump, but I've updated the exterior a bit. It's still fairly plain, but I think it looks a little better. I'll probably host a server today or tomorrow for a few hours, so if anyone wants to see the build in-game, they can.

44503 1x1s. Silly.

You managed to take a screenshot of every single corridor in the building, or so it would appear.

The interior is brilliant, the exterior really could do with some work.

10/10 for interior
6/10 for exterior

ZAPT anyone?

7/10, interior is great but exterior looks awful

Wait, he didn't say we could rate. sorry.
