loving yes
this is gonna be fantastic
I've gotta brush up on my signalling and junctions and other stuff
make the map huge so we can spread out
and for god's sake don't spam the map with cities

Map Type:
- Low cities

yeah i always use low cities.

they are so unnecessary to have lots of

my body is ready

I wish I could get my dad into this game, he would love it.

is it possible to delete companies/players without using a dedicated server?
i would prefer not to play this on a dedi if i can help it. but i worry about failed noobs taking up company spaces and abandoning them

pretty sure you can
if not, people with successful stuff like you and I can buy the companies for like 2 bucks and remove them

well i figured i would disable company buying to avoid plenty of abuse lol.
but then again, i dunno any other way to remove a company that has been abandoned.

they spam the map, and take up possible player spots

if only i could figure out train signals, i would do awesome.. seriously, no guides are dumb enough to explain it to me lol.

thats prob the hardest thing in the game to learn.

im a big fan of 1way rails. necessary if you need many trains sharing tracks.

one thing you need to learn about signals, is 1 train will NOT enter an area (any rail space between signals) that another train is currently in

the first set of signals is all you ever really need to use. reclick the ground to change them from 2way to 1way(then 1way other direction) if you need.
just ignore all other signal types.

here is a network using regular 2way signals. it allows a train to go back and forth on a track.

notice how i have them before/after any intersection.
because if there is a train in X location, then the second train would otherwise refuse to drive there.
we gott let multiple trains have the freedom to come and go without blocking each other's juctions

technically with 2 trains and 2 spots to pull in, there dont need to be an intersection.
but what if you had 10 trains needing to share the 2 spots at the larger hub? signals let them know what is taken

I just downloaded the game and what the forget am i doing ahhhh

I know that it's about trying to be the best company with the best performance index.
There is the competetive become the richest man type gameplay. Then there is sandbox where everything is free. Sometimes people like having money to spend and building stuff up for fun.

the game is only fun when you start with nothing and cities are small.

things get awesome as players slowly gain more. to simply cheat and build it all kinda ruins the possible layout of networks.
like being forced to earn the money, allows the game to evolve at a better pace.

For noobs to the game;
start with road vehicles. trains are done in a similar way, but learning signals is very complicated.

1) place a bus station in each of a few cities that arent far from each other.
or
place a truck station next to a producing resource, and another one at it's corresponding receiving one.

2) connect the stations or cities with roads

3) build a depot anywhere on that road network

4) go into the depot and buy a bus (or truck type for whatever resource you built for)

5) if its not already open from when you bought it, click your road vehicle you just paid for so it's info window pops up. (if you cant find the vehicle, its parked inside the depot)

6) the little yellow arrow on the vehicle's info window is how you give it directions.

7) when the arrow is clicked, start clicking on stations that are built to put together a direction list for him.

8) should be just the 2 for now. it will auto loop.

9) click the go/drive button on the vehicle window and he will begin following his directions.

10) he will pick up from 1 station and drop off automatically when he visits the second station (or if busses, pick up and drop off at each one)

11) income is made, let him be alone for a bit and watch the stations, if his cycle cant keep up with production, add another vehicle.

note; stations dont react or produce until they are visited for the first time. so that first run to each station is a dry run to enable everything.

wonder if wedge wants in again lol
As much as I'd love to play and build some more sprawling train networks, make billions of dollars, then use the money to flood the entire continent (I'm assuming there is a no flooding the continent rule now), I don't really have the time to play at the moment.

I like the planes limit though. People just come in and take out huge loans and build international airports and spam concords and don't really learn the mechanics of the game and then wonder why you're out earning their 50 plane fleet with 10 trains.
