Sadly that isn't how the portals work. They take a few seconds to transfer someone between the two portals. Besides, this device doesn't have any sort of settings for when you appear. The Prince was trying to make a machine that could do that, but it would of required immense amounts of energy. Sometimes you wonder about that boy.
