I told my mom about bronies and such, she basically said it would be a great opportunity to brush up on drawing.

My mom's pretty accepting of just about everything. She's religious, but she doesn't really believe in anything that expects you to be intolerant or to hate. She has no problems with any loveuality, and really has no quarrel with anyone. I really respect her for that, and she's hilarious.

One day she walked into my room with a plate of pasta and said "I swear, if you say it's gross I'll have to cut you" and then she walked out of the room.

i was a brony for about a few months, and over my time of watching the show my mother has understood. She's like "lol wtf u waching" im like "poni" and she's like "lolwhy" and i said "because they had more of a male/parental approach for this generation and i kind of like it" and shes like "oh okay whatever" and then one day im like "forget this series its getting boring" and now i dont watch it, look at fan art or anything related to it anymore, it was just the flavor of the month to me.

and why the forget would they care/want to know?
Do people really care so much about their brony status that they have to "come out" about it to their parents or something?
because they want attention. bronies are so attention starved that they need to like a gay show just to try to seem different. lol

That seems like an awful generalization and a random stab at people you don't quite understand. Are you telling me that you don't ever tell your parents of your interests or things that have been happening recently?

Has this really elevated to the point that you have to muster up all your courage just to sit your parents down one day and say "Mom. Dad. This is who I am. I am a brony." As if you were coming out to them?

Amazingly I told my dad I was going to become a brony. He understood and all, laughing like; "is this another one of those weird fads you little kids do these days?"

I replied "amazingly, yes. I want to see what all the fuss is about."

Then started my journey. Once My Little Pony hit netflix I was able to rush through it really fast, and then watch the second season in a weekend. Spare the finale...
