The idea of me making a new boss battles server came when I was at Pecon7's server one day. I really liked that arena/build. I figured if I did, other people did too. So I got to work and started building an arena in the Slate save called "The Bedroom". I did this so that when v21 came and Pecon7's old map was gone, people would still want a server to go to where they could play boss battles in a server with the old style.



Right now, I could use some help building, but it isn't necessary.



No pictures of it so far. Once the server is up for real, I will post some pictures of gameplay.



7/09/12 - Idea started.
7/10/12 - A few buildings built.
7/11/12 - Spawn rooms started and teledoors made.

Yea ik. I wont. I usually don't have any e-tard words. And what areas are you talking about that Pecon has failed at. Any input/advice would be awesome. It can only make the server better.

For one, don't make stupid buyable classes that can outrun melee-only bosses, and don't add stupid bridge / towers everywhere that get in the way, don't make the bosses so vastly different from each other that certain ones never ever get used.

Ok, I agree with the buyable classes thing and the last part, but bridge / towers are obstacles. To have a good boss battles arena you need obstacles or else it would be really easy to kill the boss in an area similar to an open field.

The reason there's boss diversity is so that players don't get bored just fighting one type of boss. Imagine nine clones of the Badspot boss. Not too fun now, is it?

The whole point of buyables/assists and towers/bridges is to provide a challenge to player and boss alike.

I completely agree with you, but if there is 1 type of boss that never gets used and another that is used almost every round, both of those bosses should be modified so that people pick different bosses almost every round.

It probably won't, but I would hope to max out at about 20-30 players every once in a while.

Last time I was on the server, I watched a zombie tank chase a CBS around for like 10 minutes, the sniper was always a little bit out of reach because he runs just as fast as the boss. That's not very exciting.

There's like 3 bosses that people mainly use. There's a few that are literally untouched by everyone except new people, because they're just stuff and die insanely fast with little kills.

Actually I often see the towers being used by snipers, and even more, sentries.
