Sure, I can always use different minds for more thorough creations.

And what do you mean by economy?  Do you want to see the events I have made so that you can learn or something?
Nope, I mean making an economical system for the server that is based on the money in players pockets and such.

Oh, well, got that already, and I think it's as perfected as possible, although I'm still looking for a reasonable way to display the money and such, Chrono's HUD prints weren't constant enough, Boom's made the server lag from console spam, and I couldn't figure out a way to display variables in a GUI.

If you want a more thorough explaination on the current economy, then I can tell you, but it's too much to write if it is unwanted.

Also, I had been working on making the stock market shortly before my computer crashed, but I don't feel it is a good system, so if you can think up a system that differs from mine, again, I'd post it if it is wanted, then that would help a lot so that I can focus on more pertinent systems.

Also, I just realized that once I removed the lock on the poll, someone actually posted again in the thread.  I guess the locked-poll symbol looks too much like the locked-thread symbol.

I was planning on having an economy based on land ownership and materials, not stocks. You could easily just add a /rules check that shows how much you have and such.

Yes. Finally. A. Good. City. Rp.

It isn't because you cannot build your own house and stuff like in a real one.

As is so in real life.  Usually, you have to buy a premade house, less likely, you have someone build a house for you, rarely do you make your own house.  I'm simply doing this to eliminate the largest spamming opportunity for people.  You can still building the yards and in your house.

It isn't based on stocks, that's just another system I want to add to make gameplay more interesting.  I will also do things like the lottery and other things.

I have a monetary system set up in which money has to variable forms, player for held money, and client for banked money.  I have mining, axing, fishing, and soon hunting.  I'm still unsure whether I should or shouldn't make the entire everything based upon resources, which is where I think you are getting at.  The only problem with this is that people don't want to always be miners and stuff, as if this doesn't get a lot of traffic, then I'd have to constantly insert more resources into the system.

Good news guys, my computer is ready to be picked up from the shop.  They computer nerds are out tomorrow, so I'll have to pick it up on Monday.  I expect to resume progress on this starting with redoing real estate with a more complex system to prevent information leaks, although, I will most likely use the event restriction mod so that these leaks cannot be used to cheat.  I will also be offering rewards for any missing links that may exist, as there is with any new "mod", I believe the usual 500,000 Blockdollars* would suffice.

*am taking suggestions for the name of the currency.  See the poll above also.
Yes! Thanks for the good news, now I will be able to finish the school, also make a backup save just incase this happens again.

Yes, i will probably start putting the saves into PMs to myself.

Currency should be studs, or "rounds"

If you want I'll make custom magazine prints for stuff like hunger

I'll add studs to the list and take out those not voted on.

What do you mean by magazine prints?

If you could make some prints for me, that would be great.

looks good, but there seems to be a trend with all city rpgs that you need to do some kind of labor for a while before you can begin to play properly and get a decent job. If it was me, i would get rid of the slow start, and get straight to the non-labor jobs

But then how would we get resources? :P

And i am typing this from my comuter, which i have now!

i hate it when people host city rps on an entirely flat grid.
