Author Topic: Abandoned Wartime Space Station (Interior build)  (Read 6659 times)

First of all, I would like to thank SkullCandy for inspiring and requesting me to do this. This is a reboot build of my 2010 Space TDM.

This is a build I made for a Space TDM I am currently hosting for the next several days. I put alot of effort into it, but since it was a TDM and I wanted to reach a larger player audience I tried to balance detail with performance ability for people with low-end computers. I kind of failed at that though maybe cause my brickcount reached about 30k, but go figure. I tried :]

The backstory to this is that you and your nation are at war with your mortal enemies. You are part of a boarding party sent to capture a space station located in neutral space in order to establish a foothold in the sector for your empire. However, your enemies are also attempting to take the station for their own nation, but you must not allow that to happen. You must strategically defeat them before they can shoot and blow up their way to your gunship's docking bay and send your team packing back home.

I would also like to thank Satelizer El Bridgette for helping to build the Red Gunship and Aludane for building one of the hallway sets. Also thanks to revoloarx for building an easter egg. Also it is a capture point-based TDM (Space Guy's) with 11 classes for each team, and T+T, WH40K, and the Sentry mods for armaments.

really like the lighting, great build, inspires me a lot.

Looks awesome, you did an especially good job with the hangers.

Dear god...
It's so... Beautiful!
I mean, to me everything is impressive cause I can't build for beans.  But this...

Got the chance to explore a bit before you shut down the server, looks awesome!

i especially like this due to the fact some places have high ceilings and lower areas, i like stuff like that, gives more of an atmosphere, or something like that.

I like everything! The only thing I would've done different is use printable water instead of the normal kind with the ugly studs on it :P

Oh cool. The last 2-3 pictures look somewhat like the docking bay of the USG Ishimura. In a few ways. subtracting the green goo/sewage water.

Eksi's lights worked beautifully with this. No doubt about that :D

I was inspired to make it based off of a ship in the game Star Trek Voyager Elite Force, it had a huge barrel room for a huge cannon weapon and I took the idea of that and formed it into the waste processor room you see at the bottom of OP <3

This is beautiful, plant!

I tried to join yesterday but couldn't :(

You should use Tingalz' 40k Imperial Weapons with this :)

I sent you invites over RTB several times XD

I am >:D

I'll be hosting this later on today, once I get back from church. I might do a few edits to some of the capture points because we had 1-2 minor issues with them universally being uncapturable yesterday.

In the last image, the bridges seem too thin. :s

they are 16x wide, i didnt want them to be super huge.

This is amazing, would love to have the save.

Especially the whole liquid thing reminds me of that space colony from sonic adventure 2.
