I realized it's unfair to ask you to read a book to learn about feminism, and especially then to go on and note recommend a book.
I'll take a stab at telling you what feminism is again, but realize that's it's not very articulate because I'm not especially well read on feminist theory.
Feminism is a gender equality movement. The goal of feminism isn't to make things harder for men, or anybody else. Feminists have identified situations where it's clear that there is gender favoritism and want to level the playing field by giving everyone a fair shot. Feminists believe that you shouldn't get preferential treatment regardless of your gender, whether you are male, female, or don't identify as either.
There are many kinds of feminists. There's socialist feminists, there's radical feminists, there's conservative feminists, and more. You might think you know what they are but you don't until you've read about them.
I think Wedge is secretly a lady.
Or one of those gay guys that are feminists which I cant even begin to understand.
You do not have to be a woman or gay to be a feminist. If you'd like to know why I'm a feminist, I'd love to tell you. If you'd just like to try and brush of my arguments by saying that I'm secretly a woman, or gay, or something like that, then I have no interested in talking to you because you clearly have no interest in understanding my position.
how dare you force these lies on me? reading? what for? i bet you will be forcing me to learn about "evolution" or some other scientific contrivance!
Oh whoops I didn't notice your sarcasm before, sorry about that.
