Author Topic: Video Editing Programs?  (Read 422 times)

So, I've been making little films for quite some time and I love it. A few of my school projects were videos like this and this... But I've gotten tired of Sony Vegas. I've been using Sony Vegas 10 for quite some time now, and while it can get some pretty cool results, it's very unstable and my laptop has trouble running it at times. Currently, it won't event let me render videos because it's apparently using up too much CPU? I've never had this problem before and I'm just tired of it...

So, Blockland, what video editing programs would you recommend?

And if you're familiar with Sony Vegas, any ideas what could be causing all these sudden problems?

I though Sony Vegas was pretty much the best there is.

Sony Vegas is what I use.
It costs a stuff ton though.

After Effects is good too, but I'm a lot more familiar with Sony Vegas.

It's pretty hard to get better than Sony Vegas on windows if you do indie film. I own a copy of After Effects, but I never got around to learning it...

Sony Vegas only costs a stuff-ton depending on which package you buy, mine costed around $200~

You pay, like, an extra $800 just so you can print on Blu-Ray. I do small indie films,  and don't really need to worry about publishing.

mine costed around $200~
$200? Pfft.
I just got Final Cut 2 weeks ago.
It's really cool, BTW, but I'm guessing you don't have a mac.

$200? Pfft.

Huh?

But no, I use a Windows computer. I did have a Macintosh I used for things like word processing, audio engineering and graphic design but it somewhat self-destructed not so long ago...

I use WMM (stuff), AVS (awesome), and Roxio Videolab (okay).

AVS? Tell me more (:

What are the specs/OS/reviews/price?
