Author Topic: loving DiBTool  (Read 8723 times)

If you haven't heard of Tarek701, he was the guy responsible for the alleged "Blockland hack" program last year. This program, coded in C#, was called DiBTool.

I found out about this tool when a friend of mine(Mold) suddenly sent me an IRC message telling me classically that the end was coming and then sending me the following link: http://dibtool.square7.ch/

I immediately clicked the link and found the webpage full of what I assumed to be bullstuff, until I came to this:

Imagine yourself:
Either that's a screenshot he found somewhere taken from Pecon's computer or he really did manage to get the mission editor GUI open on boss battles. I know he hasn't just added that in with the GUI editor because the SimGroup's contents actually makes sense.

I really hope this isn't real, otherwise we're officially forgeted.

No it's just a rare coincidence. I too, very long ago, managed to open Mission Editor on some guy's server in Kitchen map. It's rare, but I don't think you can modify anything in the game once it's open.

well let's see about that

hey op, have you ever thought that maybe he just saved pecon's build and loaded it on his server and opened mission editor?

wow logic is great!

>Used VC++ 2010.
I can already tell here this person knows nothing and this is a simple save & load with random sets added in to the mission editor to make it seem scary to morons, there should be people playing in the backround if this is was real.
Fake and gay, might snag a few idiots. 2/10 for effort.

stuff, no I did not

Bahaha that was my first thought.

I wouldn't even trust a person who doesn't know how to spell to find exploits.

Well, i worked long on to find a new exploit until i discovered it on Blockland. Well, there were 2 problems.

When Client_MissionEditor was changed to use it on the server, then it didn’t work and broke Blockland.exe. So i decided to pack that Add-On into a DLL file, which can be injected with Cheat Engine. It will edit some values in Blockland.exe to trick the server. It will think you are the mission owner and you will be able to edit everything. Don’t forgot: You can’t execute any scripts server-sided yet, because the server knows that you are not the Host, this can’t be easily bypassed.

The second problem was, Mission Editor is full of erros, when it is called up on a normal server. Buttons doesn’t work anymore, menus are stretched or all opened. This will be also fixed.

More isn’t coming in DiBTool C:X 1.0, since Badspot patched the most ways to hack, exploit.
>pack that add-on into a dll which can be injected with cheat engine
lol completely handicapped and cheat engine changes values
>will edit some values in blockland.exe to trick the server
I could have sworn everything for admins was done on the server, and even if you could open mission editor on a server you'd only be editing the mission your client loaded and not the server itself (?)

>mission editor is full of erros
wat

>buttons doesn't work anymore, menus are streched or all opened
Barely coherent, but going to go straight ahead and call this bullstuff because I'm pretty sure the server doesn't forget with client guis.

If this is legit and works fantastic job posting about it. We're going to have handicaps download this stuff left and right.

This all sounds fake.

according to an estimate in the faq comments it would be released yesterday but wasn't

Steps to make this for yourself:
  • go to pecons server
  • save bricks
  • leave
  • start server
  • start map bedroom
  • load bricks
  • mission editor
  • screenshot
  • upload
  • END IS COMING OMG

you also could easily client-side your Brickownership of someone else and make variables of them to yours.
This guy obviously has no idea what the forget he's talking about.

There aren't even players on the build.
Most likely yea, he did just load it in single player.
