Color the walls burgundy or a light blue-grey.  
Get a divan not a bed.  It will leave more room for your electronics.

put a desk in for your computer

take a toilet and make it your seat for your desk (and do the plumbing to make it work and stuff)

get a nice cushion for the seat and your back

 Mines 10x12 feet so its wicked small too
I also lose and additional 10 square feet due to my closet
