Go with AVG. Avast can be a pain sometimes.
I stopped using AVG years ago, it's bloatware imo.
It runs way too many processes at the same time.

It is pretty power hungry on my old laptop, it isn't that bad on my computer.

Get Norton if it's available in your country. Norton is a really nice go and it protects you from viruses anyway. And you can also quick scan instead of sitting there bored.

But yeah, I use AVG as my passive scanner, if stuff starts to go weird then I break out Malwarebytes and boot in safe mode, this combo hasn't failed me yet

Norton is very thirsty with power though. But I guess all virus scanners can be thirsty with power.

malwarebytes is definitely the best antivirus.
i think it turns on my computer in the middle of the night though.

There are plenty of low-requirement games, and there's the chat function as well, which is great.

I use avast! and it works fine. Just need to set excluded files/folders.
It's just doing it's job, but it's paranoid.
