It's a 3d printer that prints in 3d using plastics.

And how will they ever be mainstream if you can print working guns?

wtf is a 3d printer? id think its just like a regular printer capable of printing paper and stuff with pictures that look 3D
it prints a layer of plastic
and then another layer of plastic on top of that one
and yet another one on top of that
and so on and so on

basically it 'prints' a 3D model, i think building it would be more accurate

how will they ever be mainstream if you can print working guns?
thing is if one guy has one then he can print more 3d printers for everyone else :cookieMonster:

I just realized this could effectively turn into the closest thing to physical piracy that doesn't include boats and water.

someone already had printed a car part by part.
though i cant imagine that being cheap. its still "piracy"

its like companies are going to have to claim up the digital copy copyrights for all physical products you never thought would need to be protected as a computer model, just to began combating this.

Holy stuff, 3D print myself a crossbow and a working airsoft gun.

replace plastic with food materials.

print cooked food.

???

profit!

Just watch, the big guys up top are going to want to put a law on 3d printers now because of this.

So in theory you could use the 3d printer to print a 3d printer to print 2 more 3d printers to print 8 3d printers to print 12 3d printers to print 24 3d printers and so on and so forth

awesome

well you can print anything that fits in it's printing space.
technically you couldnt "print" out complicated mechanical devices, you would have to print out the parts and have the know how to assemble things.

My dreams of having a custom made completely insane and silly designed gun are almost truuuuue

buy one of these
infinite parts for my R/C cars
YUS

Illegal firearms selling and trading is about to become a serious problem in the world.

if you read the comments and stuff it says that the gun wasnt completely printed and only the lower receiver was printed. everything else is stock parts
