Why are a lot of people saying it would lag? There are hundreds of games that look far better than BL and are far more processing intensive than BL. Case in point: Infinity Blade. Controls would be rather wonky, but you could get a way through it.

The latest processor for the new iPad is the same speed as a AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz

It's still 800GHz, dummy.

I doubt Blockland needs that much. If a 2008 netbook can run BL on the highest settings, the iPad could do it with flying colors.

A 2008 netbook can't. The least it can run on is like 1.5GHz

mmm can definitely see the rafts of computer knowledge you have shining through in this statement

He was suggesting that the 3D might be too much, Blockland is very basic in terms of graphics (at this stage anyway) so no, I don't believe rendering a bunch of cubes would be particularly hard. Its not like lack of anti-aliasing would be that terrible. In 3D terms is the most basic of all things 3D, surely.

I often think you are quick to criticize when actually its your knowledge that is too basic.

A laptop for $500 less has the same portablilty as an iPad, and it has better specs/display/OS. An iPad is a terrible deal even if it's 50% off. Plus it runs computer software, has better I/O, etc.

You have total lack of understanding about the purpose of the tablet, its purpose and design, or the void it fills do you?

People who compare it to a laptop generally have missed the point entirely. I'm not trying to be condescending, I just really think you haven't realize the point of a tablet yet. Frankly your focus on the iPad sounds more like an anti-Mac rant.

fine compare it to the nexus 7.

which is also $500 less and probably more powerful then an ipad.

but even then im most likely wrong.

Only people who play games compare things by specs though, my mother replaced her laptop with an iPad and it's perfect, she doesn't need all the bulky keyboard and trackpad, or the "open platform" of an Android tablet, iPad is ideal.

Just because you're not the demographic for a product, it doesn't mean it's instantly stuff.

What? No graphics card has 7770 GHz.
