Reinfield's server is too overpopulated with idiots to have votekick enabled.

I'm making this thread just as a message to Reinfield about selecting his addons, and if anyone can find me his profile on the forums, please send me it so I can send him this thread.

Basically, I was playing on Reinfield's server about 15 minutes ago and I got gunned down by Paradox (pictured in dialog below) in an area that wasn't past the red line that signified where guards could kill you on sight. I tried to votekick him for it but it failed 1 vote to 6 votes. The very next round I'm killed by Totami (also pictured) while I'm walking on the top balcony, completely unprovoked and unarmed. He claims I had a gun which was impossible considering I was killed 20 seconds into the round. I tried to votekick him but Adz voted no along with other people because I tried to votekick Paradox. I argued with him about how this was completely unreasonable considering my votekick had nothing to do with the votekick on Paradox, and after my votekick failed they kicked me because I needed to, "calm my swollen red tits".

To avoid having to pick out the correct images to comment on, I'm just going to say right now that when I said, "I don't know why I play this game anymore" I was referring to the jail escape server, not Blockland. For obvious reasons of course.

But most importantly, the reason I'm making this thread is because the players on the server are too incompetent to use the votekick mod to keep the game running and they are abusing it to punish people who aren't breaking the rules. I think Reinfield needs to remove the votekick addon and instead recruit more administrators to watch the server constantly so that the rules are being followed.

The difference is my votekick was completely reasonable considering Paradox was breaking one of the rules of the game.

I wasn't touting democracy as some sort of ultimate power that can't be overcome by reason, I'm just saying there's no reason to call me immature because I started a votekick.

It's my fault I didn't show the part prior to the votekick. But it's not really important considering the reason votekick should be removed is because of Adz and Paradox's abuse.

infact as a server host i'd keep votekick on for that very reason. most of the server wanted you gone, and you were kicked. most of the server was happy about that. why would it be in the hosts interest to take away the system that keeps most of the people happy - just to appease the minority (you)?

The server was 6 people, and it would be in the host's interest because the rules of the game aren't being followed and the votekick system isn't being used to kick the people breaking the rules because the players aren't voting against them.

a majority is still majority, even with 6 people

rules might not be followed but the majority is happy. a server where the rules are followed to the letter but the majority is unhappy doesn't sound like a very good server.

entirely your fault when it comes down to it. maybe you should have tried a more peaceful reasoning approach instead of letting it turn into "you're all loving idiots"

I shouldn't be banned from a game for saying that when my votekick gets denied against someone who literally killed me unprovoked, and when I was unarmed. I play a game so that I can enjoy the game under the rules the admin writes on the wall, not the game with the rules 2 people and a bunch of other people who mindlessly type /yes without even understanding what the votekick is for, wrote.

so then don't go on servers with a votekick system, because clearly your people skills aren't as good as your rule following skills are

you could have handled this a lot better than you have, don't go handing out all the blame to everyone else so quickly

yeah they might not be right, but it still means you're in the wrong too for not handling it better. you should have contacted the host directly if that's all you wanted. making a thread here just shows us that you're butthurt and out for blood, nothing more.

If I just wanted to publicly humiliate the people involved, I would have posted their BL_IDs and encouraged people to ban them. Instead, I blame the host for this issue because it's his fault he doesn't keep the server moderated when it's hosted 24/7 and he runs an addon that lets people openly break rules without being punished.

At the top of the OP I asked anyone who knows how to contact Reinfield to send me his forum profile or email so I can send him this thread. Consider this half documentation and half a request for someone to send me information so I can contact Reinfield.

Well democracy doesn't work on this server because the, "laws" are being broken and democracy isn't fixing it. It ruins the game by giving the players the power to ban other players. Especially when a good portion of them are mindlessly choosing /yes without even knowing who they are votekicking.

The addon does not belong on the server and that's why I made this thread.

democracy doesn't and has never guaranteed that laws/rules wont be broken

don't know where you've picked up that idea, but it's wrong. democracy is still working even in this case.
