its prob virtual memory. or cached up memory that hasnt been defragged or reallocated after recent use.
in reality, our comps dont use nearly as much memory as we think.
i would absolutely love games to use even 2gigs. but most dont even come close to that much. and the ones that do, usually do because they arent optimized by the devs very well.
